Our Story

It all started with a milk cow and a few chickens—yes, I really went full-on farm girl! The first thing I ever sold was milk from our family cow. Then came the farm-fresh eggs. At this point, I was basically channeling my inner farmer. I decided to learn how to make bread, and let me tell you, that was the beginning of a very delicious spiral into madness.

I was craving a simpler life, one where I could feed my family real food instead of those suspicious packages with ingredients longer than my grocery list! Every time my kids clamored for their favorite snacks from the store, I’d read the labels and feel like I was deciphering an ancient language—no way was that stuff going into my kiddos! Suddenly, I found myself tumbling down the rabbit hole of homemade goodies like Alice with an apron instead of a tea party.

Once I figured out how to whip up all this tasty stuff for my family, I thought, “Hey, why not share this craziness with other busy working moms (or anyone else!) who just want to survive?” And voilà, Nini's Natural Pantry was born! I’ve set up shop in the basement of the Lisbon Public Library—yes, I’m the “weird lady in the basement” now—and I’m open a couple of days a week. I’m also branching out with pre-orders for pickup because who doesn’t love a good takeout option that doesn’t involve questionable takeout?

Oh, and I make a weekly delivery to Jamestown, so basically, I’ve become a food fairy. I hope to see you soon—just look for the crazy lady with the homemade bread, an apron, and an enthusiastic smile!
